Oh god I want to live in one of these so bad. I am thinking a two story 6m diameter one, possibly with a 4m attachment. Even if they did ship to the US, it'd be outrageously expensive. Hopefully these catch on.

Mhmm, I prefer cozy, small, and functional over large and difficult to maintain. Plus they are just plain awesome inside.

Not the first time I've heard them compared to hobbit homes. Funny, I've wanted for some time a hobbit style house as well.

...and what would you do when a blizzard/earthquake/tornado strikes? Die I'd imagine.

I mean, depending on the circumstance we'd all probably die anyway but there might be some serious code violations with these.

Hmm... When I get one, I'll have to ask about the possibility of having an underground fallout shelter type room. That would also be awesome.

I can't speak to this shit specifically, but dome homes are actually SUPER DUPER safe against the elements.

yeah was tryin to find a vid earlier, but this show in aust called new inventors had some dudes on it who invented some new building material for dome houses. They said those things are cyclone proof and shit
