Looks interesting ^_^

I see they went the route Nintendo/Retro Studios went with Metroid Prime series since the Gamecube... except... these guys went w/ 8bit pixel o.o

EDIT: So I read it's partially Doom inspired...

Doom IS forever.

It was made on some engine that was modded from Doom's engine; it isn't a doom mod, it is it's own program (though with a doom interface in some parts, it seems. They might change that yet).

From the FAQ:

"What was this made in?

Long story short: It was made in a port of ZDoom which is a port of Doom 2. It increases Doom’s editing capabilities drastically and allows modders to create whole new mods, worlds, games etc in the engine easier than it ever was. New monsters, weapons, gameplay changes, mapping capabilites and more are now possible thanks to ZDoom. Skulltag is the same kind of thing but it has better multiplayer capabilities, including new game modes and a nice networking code that allows servers to host their games easier.

Will I need Doom to play this?

No. As it uses completely original resources and not a drop of Doom anywhere other than the code, you can download and play this for free."

So it is, technically, a Doom mod. I was wrong. Though "it uses completely original resources and not a drop of Doom anywhere other than the code".

Though it's not as awesome in my opinion. But... 2 PLAYER COOP °O°)≈ç√ƒ®†©∫~ªΩªº¨µ⁄∆∞@ø@@…øøœ»„Å„„»Å͇Ǚ¸‰Ï‰Ì˝¸◊‹ÓˇÓııÁ¢¢“¡¡“¶¢[]|{}≠¿¿¬”#‰#fi£#fi^\˜·\^fi£¯#¯
It'll probably fail in recreating the fluid controls though.

More visual eye-candy fetish than anything else... well.... if you can even call that these days.

But yeah, the co-op should be the best thing out of it. Especially if it gets more complicated. It'll be interesting to see if it turns out playable/fun.
