Uhm, Mono especially, do you have any tracks by the guy that are showing up on Youtube? Like Rain To Sea. There are some other tracks floating around too.
I feel like there is something we are missing out on. Some of the acoustics MIGHT be fan-made, but they sound pretty legit. There are lots of other good videos too still.
I would like to convert these to mp3. I think there is a program one of my hometown friends uses for that business... should sound better that recording with a male-male (plus my vista laptop, for whatever reason, doesn't work with male-males. Still haven't gotten it to work.)
Aaaaand speaking of male-male, I'd totally tap Chris Corner.
M'aidez is off the Lorreta Young Silks EP/Single (there's also Empathy Low [acoustic], Lorreta Young Silks [acoustic]) from Sneaker Pimps.
Destroying Angel I believe is from the same time too, among other SP tunes off Splinter.
The rumour was the band wanted to re-record Splinter, since Chris had dramatically improved vocal wise. Thus wanted to redo most of the vocals and production etc. They never did of course.
That Mercy accoustic... that sounds familiar.... uhh, oh i know! That's actually from an interview at Indie 103.1... on a show that was replaced by the Suicide Girls, I believe. So they no longer air it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised that particular recording from that video is from me, since I recorded it the day it aired and thus began to share the tune on various forums (including IAMX forums).
The last video of Lorreta Young Silks, if it isn't already obvious is from Sneaker Pimps era as well.
I'm not too sure about the other tunes though, unfortunately. I can't recall whether he performed another song other than Mercy that day of the interview.
I wouldn't be surprised if the rest were from radio performances actually or live recording he does while on tour.
I hear apparently some fan compiled all these acoustic songs of Chris and labeled them all IAMX... which some were not, from what I can see.
Anyway, I don't have most of these at the moment actually. Other than the Lorreta EP/Single.
