"What makes this trend of escalated anti-whistleblower activity particularly notable is that Obama, during his career in the Senate and when running for President, feigned serious support for whistleblowers."
Also, just realized Algeron (the guy who made this original thread) lives in Anaheim lolOrangeCounty. Of course he was gonna talk smack about Obama right off the bat, without letting all unfold first.. He lives in the OC, the majority vote Republican. His parents probably vote Republican. lawlz.
Anyway, both parties when they take office seem to really really fucking suck.
politicians will say one thing to try and get into office, then do the other when they are in there. I sometimes wish you could vote them out before there term was up just to keep they shady bastards on the straight and narrow.
I think things could be better, if more chaotic, if more elected officials could be elected out of office pre-end term.
I know it sounds good, but it really is not. If politicians always base there decisions on public opinion instead of good government practices you end up with just as big a pile of shit. Check out what Krudd has done over here for the last few years.
I wish it could work like that but i do not think it would :( Sometimes the best thing for the country is not the popular thing with the voters, what is happening in Greece at the moment is a good example.
Checkmate.
xD
I actually try to maintain the same level of discourse everywhere, shockingly. I'm basically the same person in real life.
